Mode of Action
Azoxystrobin belongs to the strobilurin group and inhibits fungal respiration by interfering with mitochondrial electron transport.
Thiophanate Methyl is a systemic benzimidazole fungicide that interferes with fungal cell division and development.
Thiamethoxam is a systemic neonicotinoid insecticide that acts on the insect nervous system, helping control susceptible insect pests.
The combination provides fungal disease and insect-pest protection during the early stages of crop establishment.
Key Benefits
- Helps protect treated seeds from susceptible fungal pathogens.
- Provides early-stage insect protection.
- Supports healthy seed germination and crop establishment.
- Combines fungicidal and insecticidal activity in one seed-treatment formulation.
- Helps reduce early crop losses caused by seed/soil-borne diseases and insect pests.
Description
Crop Life Science Limited VIREX is a combination fungicide and insecticide seed-treatment product containing Azoxystrobin 2.5% + Thiophanate Methyl 11.25% + Thiamethoxam 25% FS. It combines two fungicidal active ingredients with the systemic insecticide Thiamethoxam to provide comprehensive protection during the early stages of crop growth.
Azoxystrobin works by inhibiting fungal respiration, while Thiophanate Methyl interferes with fungal cell division and development. Thiamethoxam provides systemic insect protection by acting on the insect nervous system.
The FS (Flowable Concentrate for Seed Treatment) formulation is intended for application directly to seed, allowing the active ingredients to coat the seed and provide protection during germination and early crop establishment.
VIREX can help farmers protect seeds against susceptible seed- and soil-borne fungal diseases as well as early-stage insect pests, supporting better crop establishment and healthier initial growth.
For best results, use VIREX strictly according to the approved label recommendation, crop-specific dosage, target pests/diseases and seed-treatment procedure.
Application Method
Seed Treatment: Apply the recommended quantity of VIREX uniformly to the seed using a suitable seed-treatment method or equipment. Ensure proper mixing and uniform coating of the seeds.
